Naviscan, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets organ-specific molecular imaging scanners that provide high-resolution images of abnormal tissue in small body parts. Compact, mobile and easy to use, the PEM Flex® Solo II is a high-resolution PET scanner that produces molecular tomographic images of lesions at 1.9 mm resolution, allowing physicians to visualize breast tumors about the width of a grain of rice. This enables physicians to precisely characterize abnormal tissue, optimizing surgical planning, monitoring response to therapy, and evaluating suspected recurrence. The breast PET application of the PEM Flex® Solo II is also referred to as Positron Emission Mammography (PEM).
